2009 Family camp

In a few short weeks it will be time once again for Family Camp. Clyde Holiday State Park, just west of John Day is once again the location. Bring your raffle gifts!

Reunion Archive

These pictures show the first reunion from 1919, and the 1953 reunion. I'm much too young to be in either of them. I do see some of you "older" folk in them
though.

Dave and Sue get "hitched."

Jack Scott announced that that there would be a surprise after the group photos. The surprise turned out to be a wedding! Congratulations to the happy couple.

July Ledger-- 2009

Hello and Happy fourth of July to you all. I'm still working with this format, hence the late delivery of the July edition. I'm sorry but there won't be any photos at this time as things aren't as user friendly as I'd like at the moment. Call it: Subject Unable to Extract.

This month we say happy birthday to:

Phil Zaklan--7/4

Karli Wilbur--7/6

Tiffany Thompson--7/11

Mercedes Hobeck--7/12

Jesse Hedrick--7/18

Maria Hobeck--7/22

It looks like there'll be plenty of cake at the Hobeck's this month!

Still no news from Yuma, although I heard rumor the border patrol has stepped up is surveillance.

Family Camp is the first weekend in September, again at Clyde Holiday State Park near John Day. Wayne slipped a five to the Pac-10 scheduling committee and the U of O and Boise State will meet on Sep. 3, right in the middle of camp time. Thanks Wayne!

As I mentioned in a prior post seeing the Ironman from a spectators POV was very interesting. I have a greater appreciation for the volunteers that make it all happen. I also have a greater appreciation for black bean burgers at The Beacon and have perfected the recipe. Hey, maybe that could be my meal contribution for camp. All in favor?

Well, since none of you robbed a 7-11, or got caught streaking this will end the July edition. Have a great month.

The new home of the Lansbery Ledger

In an effort to supply everyone with the monthly newsletter I've taken to creating a blog. The newsletters were too large for some of your e-mail accounts and on more then one occasion a computer situation known as "Subject Unable to Extract" occurred not allowing you full viewing pleasure. So, the answer is this blog page.

I'm still getting used to the layout, and no doubt things will look different from here on out but the subject matter (you) remains the same. How bad can it be, really?

So stay tuned for the July edition of "The Lansbery Ledger."

July 2009 edition

We just returned from Post Falls, Idaho having stayed on beautiful Sunset Island, aka the "floating cup holder." Ironman Coeur d'Alene for 2009 is in the books and all my friends finished. I saw things from a different perspective this year as I was only a spectator, but I plan on being back in the saddle next year.
